What you can do now

  1. Use the beta's normal host flowCreate or join a session through Frostrail's in-game multiplayer interface.
  2. Keep every player on the same buildSteam must finish updates before the crew tests a connection problem.
  3. Apply the current join workaroundIf a visible server cannot be joined, match Steam Download Region and use the in-game list.
  4. Request the feature through feedbackThe beta's survey, bug report tool and tester forums are the appropriate channels for a dedicated-server request.
  5. Avoid unofficial server downloadsThere is no official executable or container image to compare them against.

What official sources say

Steam labels Frostrail as single-player, multiplayer, co-op and online co-op. FakeFish's FAQ says crews of one to four are the intended size. Neither source names dedicated servers, a persistent hosted world or an unattended server application.

The Early Access description says the developers will add content, improve systems and use community feedback, but it is not a commitment to a specific server feature.

What the community is asking for

A new Steam discussion asks for dedicated-server support so any member of a four-player crew can enter a world while the original host is away. One reply says it is needed for Early Access. No developer replies are present.

That establishes demand, not availability. The useful page today is a clear status boundary rather than a fabricated installation tutorial.

Security boundary

Do not download a file advertised as a Frostrail dedicated server unless FakeFish or Shiro Unlimited publishes it through an official channel. Do not expose router ports based on another Unreal Engine title.

When support is announced, the minimum reliable guide will need an official app ID or package, ports, save location, update path, authentication model and backup procedure. None of those details is public now.

Official material establishes game facts. Community threads are labeled because a player report is evidence of a question or workaround, not a developer guarantee.
