Privacy policy
Frostrail DB is designed to work without an account. Optional analytics loads only after you choose to allow it.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process ordinary request data such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, timestamp and security signals to deliver and protect the site. We do not expose those logs publicly or use them to build personal player profiles.
Analytics choice
Google Analytics 4 is optional. On your first visit, the site asks whether you want to allow analytics. The Google Analytics script is not requested until you choose “Allow analytics.” If you choose “Essentials only,” no GA4 script is loaded by this site.
Your choice is stored in your browser under the key frostraildb-consent. This essential local-storage entry contains only “granted” or “denied.” You can clear the site’s browser storage to reset the choice. Analytics, when allowed, helps us understand aggregate page use and improve guides; it is not used to sell personal profiles.
Third-party media and links
The official gameplay trailer uses a click-to-load YouTube privacy-enhanced embed. No YouTube player request is made on initial page load; choosing to play the video connects your browser to YouTube and is subject to Google’s policies. Links to Steam, Discord and other external sites take you to services with their own privacy practices.
If you email contact@frostraildb.wiki, we receive the address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use that information to respond, review a correction or handle a rights request. Do not send passwords, recovery codes, payment information or private playtest material.
Advertising
The launch version of Frostrail DB does not place third-party advertising scripts. If advertising is introduced, this policy and the consent controls will be updated before non-essential advertising technology is loaded. Advertising participation does not mean a network has reviewed or endorsed editorial claims.
Retention, requests and changes
Operational logs are retained according to the hosting provider’s service and security settings. Email is retained as long as needed to resolve the request and maintain a reasonable correction record. To ask about an email you sent or this policy, contact contact@frostraildb.wiki.
Material privacy changes will update the effective date on this page. The current policy applies to frostraildb.wiki.
